The geo raglan sweatshirt has a bit of edge to it, if you’re looking for a unique outfit, pair this pattern with some track pants and add a little knee patch like I have on Theo above!
There’s no special skills to get the look, it’s just sewn a little different than the classics.
Here’s a video of it being put together, for a photo overview just continue down a bit 🙂
All pieces cut out:
The first step is serging the sleeves to the front and back
Next, the pocket ribbing is serged on, topstitched and trimmed to look clean
Then, the top and sides are sewn closed on the front of the sweatshirt
After the pocket is placed the side seam is closed with a straight stitch to leave a raw edge. Sewn from armpit to top of pocket (you can always go further down if you prefer)
It should look like this after both side seams are sewn
Next the neckband and sleeve cuffs are serged on
The last portion is sewing the waistbands on. The edges are closed here and then the waistband is pinned to the center. Stretch to fit and serge to the hem. Then topstitch to finish!
Ironed and completed 🙂
This sweatshirt is awesome with the track pants like I mentioned but could go with most of the bottom patterns!
I have many things in the works like always so check back for updates soon!
You can see the pattern here, and can show it off here 🙂
